ENTRIES
Please note the following important points:
- It is the rider’s responsibility to ensure that he or she has entered the correct division.
- Explanation of the use of the words “Completed and Competed.” It is the determination of the USEA that a rider and/or horse must have “completed,” that is obtained a final numerical score, at a particular level in competition in order to be considered as having “competed” at that level. For purposes of the AEC if a rider in a JR, YR, or AM division has, in the 24 months prior to the start of the AEC, completed a competition two levels above the championship level he or she has entered, then that rider will be in violation of the rules of the AEC. While the USEA will make every attempt to check the qualifications of horse and rider prior to the closing date, the final responsibility lies with the competitor. If during the AEC a competitor is found to have entered a division for which he or she is ineligible, then the competitor will be required to compete Hors Concours. If such ineligibility is discovered after the competition then the result will be declared null and void.
- The Championship Horse divisions are intended to include horses who may be in their first year of competition at the next level and still be eligible for the level entered, i.e. horses entered in the Training Horse (CH) may have completed some preliminary competitions during the qualifying period."
- Key to abbreviations: Junior (JR), Young Riders (YR) Amateur (AM) and Horse (H) Championship (CH) Beginner Novice (BN), Novice (N), Training (T), Preliminary (P), Intermediate (I), Advanced (A). (For Amateur definition see USEF Rules for Eventing rule reference in 2.6 below. For JR and YR definitions, see USEF Rules for Eventing rules EV104.2 and EV104.3)

(This provision shall not apply to designated "Horse" divisions in which riders at any level of experience may enter, provided that the horse is qualified.)
